Dorset wedding photography

So it’s been a massively long time since my last post. Mainly a long but busy winter away from the camera.  Mainly with cars… current hack being a saab 9000 with plenty of rust.

But onto the proper stuff.  The first wedding of the season was at the end of April for me. The venue a lovley country location. Athelhampton house just outside of Dorchester.

The weather forcast was not amazing. The day started off with some great sunshine  and continued  until the group photos after the ceremony. Where the drizzle came in.

Not letting the weather get the best we carried on with the shoot around  the grounds and inside  the house.

We got a great variety  of shots

I was a big fan of this shot outside the main house. Processed  with a lr plug in and some added vignette  adds a real touch of atmosphere  to the image

A fun shot walking down through a tree arch way

Once the rain started that was it and it didn’t stop until the day after. But with such a stunning  house inside we had some great images. (Will share these another day)

Only one mishap on the day. And that was the thread stripped on the baseplate on the 1ds.. which managed  to survive  a 4ft fall onto solid concrete. I swear the thing is so solid it did more damage  to the flooring.

None the less it still works.. but I have bought a 5dmkii  as a precautionary  measure  and a well timed upgrade

Next wedding  is this Saturday
